These are some of my quirky desert rose crystals. Over time, wind and sand erosion forms it into the signature “rosette” formation with shades of white, cream and brown.
Desert Rose also known as Gypsum Rose or Sand Rose, is a type of Selenite formed from a combination of water, wind, and sand. Sand becomes embedded in Selenite blades which overtime when combined with and wind of water create the signature “rosette” formation. The rosette formations are created over a few hundred years making them relatively young compared most crystals which have formed millions (or billions) of years. Desert Rose Selenite is found in most deserts around the world.
An excellent stone to place at your bedside, workspace, or meditation room as it cleanses the environment and your aura. Due to being mainly Selenite, it will charge and cleanse other crystals when placed around them.
